THE PROJECT
We enable our young future leaders to turn theatre spaces into civic spaces, uniting communities despite their distances and differences with one voice saying it’s time to put an end to gun violence. It’s time we say ENOUGH.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
We call on middle and high school students from across the country to write and submit 10-minute plays that confront the issue of gun violence. Winning playwrights receive payment for their work, free memberships to The Dramatists Guild, and feedback from professional playwrights. Their plays will be published by Playscripts in a collected anthology that can be licensed for future productions.
Next round coming Fall 2021
SELECTION PROCESS
A committee composed of award-winning playwrights selects the 6-8 winning plays. Learn more about this year's selection committee and explore the winning playwrights of the 2020 competition.
NATIONWIDE READING
We invite middle and high schools, colleges, theatres, and other organizations to produce staged readings of the winning #ENOUGH plays in their community for FREE. The reading is an opportunity to create space for dialogue on the issue through a post-show discussion and commit to an action item specific to their community.
Coming Spring 2022
Learn more about the Digital Premiere of #ENOUGH that streamed on Broadway on Demand (Dec 14-20), co-produced by Alliance Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Berkeley Rep, Goodman Theatre, Orlando Repertory Theatre, and South Coast Repertory.
PUBLICATION BY

In 2021 Playscripts will publish the first anthology of winning #ENOUGH plays. #ENOUGH will be sending a copy of the anthology to every state governor, member of Congress, and the president-elect.
